Basic Canoeing Levels (BC Levels)
Basic canoeing courses are introductory level canoeing courses that lay the foundation for all canoeing disciplines. Basic Levels 1-3 can be done individually or combined into a single course covering multiple levels (e.g. 1-2, 2-3 or 1-3)

Basic Canoeing Tandem Level 1(BC1)
BC1 an introduction to canoeing. The student will learn safe canoeing practices, while becoming comfortable paddling in a tandem canoe.

Basic Canoeing Tandem Level 2(BC2)
BC2 builds on the skills introduced in BC1by refining the paddling techniques.

Basic Canoeing Tandem Level 3(BC3)
BC3 builds on the skills introduced in BC1 and 2 by refining paddling techniques and performing maneuvers with more precision.
Canoe Tripping (CT)
Canoe tripping courses cover the skills required to safely and responsibly participate in, and eventually organize and lead wilderness canoe trips. Canoe Tripping Level 3 provides the provincially recognized certification in trip organization, leadership, risk management and emergency response.

Canoe Tripping Level 1 Introduction (CT1)
CT1 provides an introduction to canoe tripping for those with little or no tripping experience.
Course Length: 16 hours plus a minimum of a 1 night canoe trip

Canoe Tripping Level 2 Skill Development (CT2)
CT2 provides the experienced canoe tripper with the opportunity to improve their canoe tripping skills under more challenging conditions.
Course Length: 16 hours plus a minimum of a 2 night canoe trip

Canoe Tripping Level 3 Trip Leader (CT3)
CT 3 (Trip Leader) is to provide a Provincial certification of competence in the planning and leadership of wilderness canoe trip expeditions.
Course Length: 16 hours plus a minimum of a 3 night canoe trip
