Meet Gabe, an enthusiastic canoe tripper and the heart behind Gone Canoeing. With a deep love for the outdoors and a lifelong passion for canoeing, Gabe created Gone Canoeing to inspire others to embrace nature and the joys of paddling.

For over 30 years, Gabe has been guiding and teaching outdoor adventures across Ontario, parts of Alberta, and even various regions of the United States. By day, he’s a dedicated secondary school physical and outdoor education teacher at a rural school in Northumberland County, Ontario, where he continues to share his love for the wilderness with his students.

When he’s not on the water, Gabe enjoys playing old boys rugby, diving into a good book, and spending quality time at home with his wife, their two children, and their loyal dog.
